Codewise won the Warsaw Corporate Film Festival 2018

On May 17, 2018, at the Marriott Hotel in the center of Warsaw, the gala of awarding the first edition of the corporate film festival – the Warsaw Corporate Film Festival took place.

The festival competition was attended by such companies as: Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa, PKO Bank Polski, L’Oreal Portugal, Santander Consumer Bank, Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych, Kompania Piwowarska, SGB Bank, Deutsche Bank, PwC, and Warta Group. The gala was also attended by representatives of industry and commercial media, the president of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives of embassies and tourist organizations.

The jury selected 13 winners from 16 categories. The biggest winner of this year’s Warsaw Corporate Film Festival was Codewise for the film “8 hrs”. He won as many as 6 statuettes, including the most important – Grand Prix.

The next big winner was PKO Bank Polski, which received as many as 5 statuettes for its productions “Key decisions” and “Find out what Maciek had to before he founded PKO Konto dla Młodych”. A great result can also be acclaimed by Visit Portugal with the film “Can not Skip Portugal” and Meme Studio “Demant – World of Sound”, who received 4 statuettes.

The awards gala was accompanied by screenings of winning films as well as musical performances. The vocalist of The Voice of Poland and Must be the Music sang – Krzysztof Płonka sang live and the finalist of the 5th edition of the famous Polovisian production Idol – Patrycja Jewienia.

Warsaw Corporate Film Festival is the first corporate film festival in Poland, during which the best corporate films are awarded. The goal of the event is to promote enterprises and their audiovisual campaigns in an international environment; disseminating trends in corporate audiovisual communication, which is of key importance in building the reputation of companies on the international arena; creating an environment supporting the establishment of international business relations and the promotion of the Polish audiovisual industry.

This year’s sponsor of the festival was the National Tourism Agency of Italy – ENIT, for which participation in the event was an excellent opportunity to promote the natural and artistic heritage of Italy as a place of cultural inspiration for international cinematography.
